Michelle Torres

Michelle Torres is an Associate at Sanabria & Associates, PLLC. She is responsible for the Jacksonville office. Michelle’s primary focus is immigration, criminal law, and family law. Her wealth of experience in these areas makes her the right choice to fight the “good fight” for her clients across a whole variety of issues that may impact a family.
At an early age, Michelle felt a deep desire to help people and became the first attorney in her family. Born and raised in the enchanted island of Puerto Rico, Michelle graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Political Science. After graduation, she attended the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico where she would earn her Juris Doctor.
During her career, Michelle represented hundreds of clients as a criminal attorney. She has extensive experience in cases involving drugs charges, weapons charges, domestic violence, assault and battery, DUI, among others.  She also was part of an association that represented police officers in criminal, administrative, and family law cases.  One of her biggest achievements is representing clients in the Appeal and Supreme Court of Puerto Rico following through cases to obtain satisfactory results.
Michelle also served as a professor of Civil Procedures at Ana G. Mendez University.
After hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico in 2017, Michelle and her husband moved to Massachusetts where she discovered her passion for immigration law. Worked with clients to understand their needs and figure out the best way to serve. She takes care of the cases with compassion, understanding the adversities that clients go through to achieve the American dream.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and son on activities like traveling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and cycling. Michelle is a vivid runner and participates in 10k, half marathons, and marathons.
Michelle is fluent in Spanish and English and is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar and Massachusetts Bar Association.
